Abstract – scaricare il file per l'appunto completo The greatest poet, dramatist and critic of the Restoration was born into a puritan family in 1631 at Aldwinkle, a village in Northamptonshire. He was first educated at Westminster School and then entered Trinity College, Cambridge, where he graduated in 1654. In 1657 he moved to London where he married, joined the Royal Society and started his literary career publishing Heroic Stanzas on the Death of Oliver Cromwell, a panegyric on the Lord Protector.
